We’re pleased to announce the first stage of Glen Iris Estate is now open.
If you are keen for a first-hand look at the results of the meticulous planning and design that have gone into creating this exciting new residential community, you can visit via Alluvial Way along Dean Road
With civil construction complete the new landscaping, trees, shelters and playgrounds will start to take shape over the next few months under the guidance of Landscape Australia.
Forward works continue with construction of Stages 2 and 3 underway and earthworks for Stage 4 starting in the area north-west of Twin Waters Pass across to Glen Iris Drive and down to the homes fronting Glacier Way.
Stage 4 earthworks means we’re making changes to the site access, with trucks bringing sand into the development now entering and exiting the site via the roundabout on Glen Iris Drive at Bonville Glen.
The plan has always been to retain as many of the mature trees as possible in our new residential development but to do this we need to bring in additional sand.
Bringing in this sand enables us to deliver the key principles of the masterplan which is retaining as many trees as possible, respecting the undulating landform, integrating with the existing community and creating a stunning network of green spaces for the existing and new community to enjoy.
Trees are a big part of the streetscapes and parks at Glen Iris Estate and some magnificent specimens will play a starring role in the streetscape and landscaping design.
Contractor Densford Civil is reinforcing the need for care to its truck drivers, and truck movements are being closely monitored and supported with traffic management strategies.
Densford Civil is also continuing to liaise directly with residents who have questions about development works and truck movements.
Now that truck movements for Stage 2 have finished, cleaning up Dean Road from the existing construction compound out to the intersection of Berrigan Drive and Jandakot Road has been a priority.
We look forward to keeping you up to date as the new Glen Iris Estate evolves.
