We’re excited to share that the parks and walking trails in Stage 2 of Glen Iris Estate are now complete, connecting Obsidian Close and Idyllic Avenue. Featuring nature play equipment along the way, these trails are perfect for getting your steps in, walking the dog, or letting the kids explore and play outdoors. The new path network – which will eventually form part of the 6.5km exercise trail across the estate – encourages an active lifestyle while also strengthening Glen Iris Estate’s connection to the surrounding neighbourhood and local amenities.
The new open spaces have been thoughtfully designed with a focus on retaining mature trees and the planting of more native trees and shrubs to enhance the estate’s leafy, green feel. As these newly landscaped areas grow and mature, they will continue to provide important habitat for birds and local wildlife, as well as visual screening and a peaceful buffer between the established and new homes within the community. With the recent arrival of spring and some warm, sunny weather, now is a great time to get out and enjoy these new parks and walking trails on your doorstep.
